Extensions
Balmain tape-in, fitted by Jeanette.
Length, volume, or both — colour-matched to your own hair and ordered in for you. No heat, no glue, no braided anchors.
Why tape-in
Tape-in extensions are two thin wefts sandwiched around a section of your own hair on a medical-grade adhesive tab. There is no heat, no keratin bond melted onto the root and no micro-ring clamped to it — which is why they sit flat enough to wear your hair up, and why they come out cleanly.
Balmain is the house we use. It is not the cheapest hair on the market and we are not going to pretend otherwise; it is the hair that still looks like hair after three months of being washed.
The two sets
Volume — 20 pieces, £281.5
For hair that is fine or has thinned rather than hair you want longer. Twenty tabs placed through the mid-section to give body and thickness at roughly your existing length.
Length & volume — 6 pieces, double hair, £527
Double-drawn hair, which means the wefts are packed with strands of an even length rather than tapering to a few wisps at the bottom. It is the difference between extensions that end in a thick line and extensions that end the way real hair does. This is the set for genuine added length.
Maintenance — £64
Every six to eight weeks the tapes are taken down, cleaned, re-taped and moved back up to the root. Skipping these is what causes the damage people blame on extensions.
Before you book
- The consultation is free, and it is where the colour match happens.
- The hair is then ordered in for you — there is a wait between consultation and fitting.
- If there is a date in mind — a wedding, a holiday — come in at least a month before it, not the week of.
- Removal is done here. Please do not take them out at home.
Balmain extensions
Fitting is included. The hair itself is ordered per client after a colour match, so the consultation comes first.

Questions
Before you book
- How much are hair extensions in Solihull?
- At Jiggs, Balmain volume — twenty tape-in pieces — is £281.5, and the six-piece double-hair length and volume set is £527. Maintenance is £64 per visit. All three include fitting.
- How long do tape-in extensions last?
- The tapes need moving every six to eight weeks as your own hair grows — that is the maintenance appointment. The hair itself, looked after properly, lasts through several of those cycles.
- Will extensions damage my hair?
- Tape-in is the gentlest of the common methods — no heat, no glue guns, no braided anchors — but any extension puts weight on the root. Damage almost always comes from leaving them in too long or pulling them out at home, not from wearing them. Keep the maintenance appointments and have them removed here.
- Do I need a consultation?
- Yes, and it is free. Extensions have to be colour-matched to your hair, and the hair itself is ordered in for you — so there is a wait between the consultation and the fitting. Do not leave it until the week of the wedding.
- Who fits them?
- Jeanette does all the extension work at Jiggs. Ring the salon to book — extensions are not on the online diary because the fitting time depends entirely on what is agreed at consultation.
